WANTED: Systems Engineer.  Emphasis on Novell products in a wide variety of
                           LAN and WAN environments.

Regional Sales office of a nationwide VAR and network integrator is 
seeking a Systems Engineer for the Los Angeles region.

CNE required, but must have the experience to back it up, as well as the
ability to work with people at all levels in client organizations.

Position entails working closely with the sales force: going on joint calls
and helping the salespeople to present technical information, and give the
"chalk talk" to the client.  Also will be responsible for designing, 
implementing and supporting networks in various forms.  Excellent commun-
ication and presentation skills are a must, as well as the ability to 
explain technical details and benefits to a non-technical audience.


Your experience must reflect most or all of the following:

Expert in DOS and Windows
Strong expertise in NetWare 3.11/3.12
Experience with or knowledge of NetWare 4.x
Strong expertise in the major topologies (Ethernet, Token Ring, 10 Mb Fiber)
Strong customer service skills and Attitude
Expert with all types of PCs, as well as solid exp. with Macintosh.
Strong ability to give technical support over the phone to non-tech people.
Strong ability to learn new software packages quickly and install on a LAN.
Implementation and support of the "add-on" peripherals to typical LANs,
  including: networked printers, tape backups, UPS units, FAX Servers,
  Electronic Mail servers, etc.
Knowledge of WAN technologies and available services from telcos.
Implementation of some degree of remote computing: Remote Control, Access
  Servers, Leased Lines, etc.
Experience in Technical proposal writing
Experience in training clients in the administration of a NetWare LAN.
Experience in gateway solutions for IBM, HP, or other host computers.
Experience with UNIX (BSD, Sun OS, HP UX ...)

spend a large amount of time working with the Salespeople and going out to
clients' sites.
